In between having a rich wartime history and achieving modern accomplishments with an award-winning and globally renowned international airport, Changi is the juxtaposition of the best of both past and present. Changi is not a crowded area and is mainly populated by those working in the nearby airline companies.
Those who prefer to be a little further out from the hustle and bustle of the city can find the Changi an ideal place to live due to its serene beachside neighbourhood. The residential areas in Changi comprise mostly private and landed properties including spacious bungalows, terrace and semi-detached houses. Apart from those, there are a few condos and HDB estates.
For those who love the idea of walking along the sandy white beaches while listening to the lapping waves, Changi Beach Park is the ideal place for both outdoor indulgence and be in the company of nature. Being one of the oldest coastal parks in Singapore, Changi Beach Park has shelters and BBQ pits for gatherings with family and friends.
There is an abundance of food choices including the popular destination for foodies, Changi Village, which is known for its famous Nasi Lemak. Apart from the local favourite, there are several other restaurants and smaller hawker centres that cater a wide selection of scrumptious dishes around the area.
